If you need to go to hospital you can choose which one you want to be treated at. You may wish to discuss what is best for you with your GP.
One thing to consider is that waiting times vary from hospital to hospital.
The NHS Constitution gives you the right to receive your consultant-led treatment within a maximum of 18 weeks, unless you choose to wait longer, or it is clinically appropriate that you wait longer. Read more about the NHS guide to waiting times.
Within your lifetime you – or one of your family members – may need to go to hospital for an operation, treatment or respite.
