You can now make routine appointments with GPs and nurses in the evenings and at weekends. Contact your GP surgery to make an appointment.
To make sure the appointment is at a time that suits you, it might not be with your usual GP. You might be offered an appointment with another GP at your surgery, or at another local GP surgery.

Out-of-hours GP service
If you need to see a GP urgently and your surgery is closed, call NHS 111. Our out-of-hours GP service is run by IC24.

NHS 111 can help if you have an urgent medical problem and you're not sure what to do.
You can call 111 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It's free from mobile phones and landlines, and if you need an interpreter just ask. You can also use the service online at 111.nhs.uk
Contact 111 if you:
- need help fast but it's not a life-threatening emergency
- don't know who you need to go to
- don't have a GP or your GP surgery is closed
A trained advisor will ask you about your symptoms, and tell you what to do next.
